Dance Freely Framed
I grew up on a tiny farm - meaning our neighbors chickens would sleep in our wood pile and my dad was master of a decent sized garden. So tiny, but for a young girl with a very large imagination, this was fuel.
Getting lost in the garden was a typical afternoon. One day I was a princess and the next my sister and I would pretend to live on Little House on the Prairie. Later mom would find us, skirts tucked up, full of green beans for dinner, living our dreams.
While I'm painting I often go back to catch a glimpse of my imaginations. This piece reminds me of a dream. Soft strokes of paint create flowers dancing in the wind from the sea. ’l have learned to kiss the waves that throw me up against the Rock of Ages.’
Charles H. Spurgeon
